Glæd jer til en aften med en af vor tids skarpeste og mest toneangivende forfattere. Zadie Smith indtager scenen på Det Kongelige Biblioteks Den Sorte Diamant i København, og på Ballerup Bibliotek kan I følge interviewet live på Caféscenen på 1. sal.

Zadie Smith skriver skarpt og humoristisk om multikulturelle miljøer, hvor identitet formes af race, klasse og oprindelse. Hun kobler personlige erfaringer med bred samfundskritik – fra det britiske klassesystem til den måde, vi har overladt store dele af vores identitet og adfærd til sociale medier og de magtfulde techgiganter bag dem.

Siden debuten med ”Hvide tænder ”i 2000 har Zadie Smith sat et markant aftryk på den internationale litterære scene. Med en sjælden kombination af intellekt, humor og menneskelig indsigt spænder hendes forfatterskab bredt – fra romaner og essays til noveller, drama, debat og børnebøger.

Kom og vær med til en aften, hvor litteraturen bliver levende, og hvor vi kommer helt tæt på en af de mest fascinerende stemmer i moderne litteratur.

Vær opmærksom på, at interviewet i Den Sorte Diamant foregår på engelsk.

Join us for an exclusive livestreamed interview with the award-winning British author from the Black Diamond in Copenhagen, shown at Ballerup Library.

Zadie Smith is one of today’s most influential and distinctive writers. The interview takes place at the Royal Danish Library’s in Copenhagen and will be livestreamed to Ballerup Library, where you can watch it on the first floor. The interview will be in English.

Zadie Smith is known for her sharp and humorous writing about multicultural communities and how identity is shaped by race, class and background. Her work combines personal experience with social commentary, exploring topics from the British class system to the influence of social media and powerful tech companies.

Since her debut novel, “White Teeth”, in 2000, Smith has made a significant mark on the international literary scene. Her work spans novels, essays, short stories, plays, journalism and children’s books.

Come and enjoy an evening with one of the most fascinating voices in contemporary literature.
